Does 45k enough to live for 2 persons in Auckland?

45K is very low! It's not worth moving over to live a comfortable life. For your type of industry, a decent pay would be around 60-80K. Rent in Auckland has gone up significantly. Most of your pay will go towards that and travel. Public transport systems are not as efficient as other countries, so having a car is a must, unless you live in the vicinity of your work. Fuel is expensive. If you have a lot of savings you are bringing over, settling in will be comfortable, otherwise your wife may need to find work eventually.
