Where would you recommend for a day trip from Auckland.?

Go to west, north, east and south auckland? Hahaha. Have you been to these places, or you guys have only stayed in auckland city? If you have then you can come to the bay of plenty region(i live in tauranga but hamilton isn't too far) and we're 2 hours away from auckland
